Victim Services Toronto offers various volunteer roles to support individuals affected by crime and sudden tragedies. Opportunities include:
• Task-Specific Volunteers: Assist with fundraising, event organizing, community outreach, administrative support, marketing, and language interpretation. Requires a one-year commitment.
• Volunteer Crisis Counsellors: Work alongside professional Crisis Counsellors to provide emotional support, crisis intervention, and referrals over the phone. Volunteers must be at least 19 years old and commit to a minimum of two shifts per month for one year.
• T.E.A.R.™ Youth Volunteers: Engage in the T.E.A.R.™ Youth Leadership Program, focusing on educating peers about healthy relationships and preventing gender-based violence. Open to high school students in Toronto, with a commitment of two hours per week from September to June.
